JJ Adams Rocks Reem Gallery on 5th Year Anniversary

On Saturday 13th April we delightedly hosted the British contemporary artist JJ Adams for his first ever solo show in Camberley, Surrey. The occasion marked Reem Gallery’s 5th anniversary and was opened by the Mayor of Surrey Heath (also a JJ Adams collector) cutting the ceremonial ribbon to the back drop of the Ghostbusters theme music being blasted from a replica ‘Ecto-1’ Cadillac before the eager crowds made their way into the gallery to be wooed by the latest collection.

With JJ signing artwork purchases on the day, many left the event with new mementos to grace their walls but only one excited winner was revealed post-event to have won the special exhibition piece; rewarded via the 1980’s mixtape competition.

It was particularly special to have JJ Adams there with us for the occassion as he was our first ever artist signing back in 2014. Thank you to everyone that joined us on the day and thank you to everyone who has supported us on this wonderful journey so far.

Autumn News: A Rebellious Month in the Capital

Reem Gallery 26 ©Appear Here.jpg

Reem Gallery’s inaugural London show is sadly drawing to a close but throughout the last month, surrounded by traditional art dealers, our selection of carefully curated art has injected energy and colour into the Mayfair and St. James's area. 'Rebel!' has brought together a collection of emerging and established artists specialising in contemporary and street art, with work from Illuminati NeonRob BishopThirsty Bstrd and Banksy on display. The month began with a fantastic launch celebration attended by artists, collectors and passers-by which spilled out into the street and left everyone wanting a little bit more. Since then, two artworks by Parisian artist Jisbar have been installed in the lounge area of the beautifully unique Cavendish Hotel.

'Ritchie and Monopoly Man' and 'Son of a Man' by Jisbar

Both paintings are mixed-medias combining acrylic, spray paint and pencil on canvas.
Price: £2,800 each.

Audrey Hepburns son Luca Dotti with one of my recent pieces. Very happy to have had this artwork involved in raising money for the “Remembering Audrey Hepburn” event at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Saturday the 6th Oct in London. Audrey Hepburns son Luca Dotti took the stage and talked about his Mothers legacy as an actress, Fashion Icon, Humanitarian and Mother. The event raised money for Lymphoma Action @lymphoma_action and EURORDIS @eurordis with the auction being hosted by Georgina Hilton, Christies 2017 Auctioneer of the year and a live performance by the @the_overtones

The stage is set: 'REBEL' exhibition launches in London on historic night

All the world’s a stage, and every October all the players make their entrances on the London art scene. From the galleries who launch their newest exhibitions to auction houses hammering down on their latest prized artworks to numerous weekend long art fairs; in this time the capital becomes the undisputed centre of the art world.

The launch night for Reem Gallery’s inaugural London show brought together art admirers, passers-by, collectors and artists into one merry and vibrant evening. Being surrounded by more traditional art dealers, our selection of carefully curated artists has been very well received as a welcome addition to the Mayfair and St. James area. It seems deep down there is a rebel in all of us.

Around the corner at Sotheby’s auction house, Banksy’s ‘Girl with Balloon’ sold for just over £1 million pounds and then was instantly shredded infront of aghast onlookers! An historic event for sure that was broadcast globally across news channels. A timely reminder too that despite its infancy, the street art movement is one of the most talked about genres in the world today and will no doubt have a lasting legacy.

You can catch Reem Gallery’s ‘REBEL’ exhibition until October 30th at Mason’s Yard, St. James’s in London.
