Meet the artist Kev Munday @ Reem Gallery for Camberley Art Festival

Join us on Saturday 29th June from midday to 2pm as we host local art phenomena Kev Munday for the Camberley Art Festival. Declared by the Telegraph newspaper as “one of 5 top emerging artists to invest in”, Kev has created artwork for brands including Walt Disney (a hand painted figure for an exhibition), Graham & Brown (a wallpaper), Fracture Skateboards (a series of decks) and Monster Energy (a large scale mural). His art has featured on BBC2 and Channel 4 and in Elle Decor and Juxtapoz magazines and most recently he has been accepted into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for 2019!

Kev Munday will also be live painting at Reem Gallery, so it’s a perfect opportunity to see one of the UK’s most in-demand artists up close. A selection of original artworks will be available for purchase during the festival.

RSVP isn’t necessary, all are welcome, but do contact us directly if you’d like further information on the available collection.

JJ Adams Rocks Reem Gallery on 5th Year Anniversary

On Saturday 13th April we delightedly hosted the British contemporary artist JJ Adams for his first ever solo show in Camberley, Surrey. The occasion marked Reem Gallery’s 5th anniversary and was opened by the Mayor of Surrey Heath (also a JJ Adams collector) cutting the ceremonial ribbon to the back drop of the Ghostbusters theme music being blasted from a replica ‘Ecto-1’ Cadillac before the eager crowds made their way into the gallery to be wooed by the latest collection.

With JJ signing artwork purchases on the day, many left the event with new mementos to grace their walls but only one excited winner was revealed post-event to have won the special exhibition piece; rewarded via the 1980’s mixtape competition.

It was particularly special to have JJ Adams there with us for the occassion as he was our first ever artist signing back in 2014. Thank you to everyone that joined us on the day and thank you to everyone who has supported us on this wonderful journey so far.

The Rebel Bear joins Reem Gallery for a new adventure!

🎬 Allow us to introduce you all to our new gallery artist: The Rebel Bear!

The Rebel Bear (trb) has been referred to as “Scotland’s Banksy” on many occasions in the media. To date, his work has been featured in The Guardian, The Herald, The Daily Record, The Sun, Glasgow Evening Times and Glasgow Live. The Rebel Bear’s new collection will debut at the Newbury Contemporary Art Fair in May... but for now here’s a peak of what two expect from our new furry friend.

Roundup: Surrey Contemporary Art Fair 2019

On the weekend of March 15th the Surrey Contemporary Art Fair returned to Sandown Park Racecourse for the second year running. The new darling of the art fair circuit showcased an eclectic mixture of exhibitors from artists to galleries who displayed artworks from across a multitude of artistic disciplines and mediums.

Having had such a tremendously successful year with the highly talented British mixed-media artist Rob Bishop, we decided to dedicate the whole of Reem Gallery’s stand to Rob Bishop’s artworks. Over the course of the weekend, hundreds marvelled at the methods used by Rob to achieve his pop culture portraits, with many of the artworks finding new homes. Admirers also had the opportunity to chat with Rob on the Sunday and get an even more personal insight into his style and work.
